On February 14th 2006 Rodney Rollness' home in Snohomish, Washington was raided. Guns aimed at his small children as if they were really a threat. Not putting up any kind of fight, he was thrown to the ground in the snow with several men, guns drawn, surrounding him while his children watched, frightened. Rodney Rollness was convicted of a crime he never committed. Sentenced to life plus forty years behind bars and denied an appeal.
A laundry list of charges, the worst being murder. The murder of Micheal "Santa" Walsh. This murder went unsolved for six years. There was plenty of DNA evidence and it pointed to many people, but none of those people were Rodney Rollness.
There were many things wrong with this case, and trial. There were many rats, drug addicts, and even people with mental disablities paid to testify against Mr. Rollness. Every testimony against him was all hear say, and every person had something to gain. (eg. reduced sentences, monetary gain, expunged records,..) During the 10 week trial prosecutors were nodding, or shaking their heads to however they wanted the witnesses testifying to answer. The man who owned the house where Mr. Walsh was said to have been murdered was subjected to a polygraph test. He failed when asked if he killed Mr. Walsh. I know that these don't hold up in court, but knowing Mr. Rollness isn't the murderer, his attornies should have tried a little harder to keep him out of prison. Without any evidence of any kind, how could they do this? How could they take a man from his five children, grand-daughter, and wife of over twenty years?
Prosecutors and Snohomish county police withheld paperwork where there were statements from people saying who actually killed this man. One man even said he SAW someone else do it. Neither Mr. Rollness or his family were allowed to testify on his behalf.
Mr. Rollness has been denied his appeal due to the lack of good council.
He is now in the process of preparing a 2255 motion and looking for anybody to help aid in his defense. Whether it be monetary or if you have the skills that can assist in this process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Kari Rollness

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI just came upon your case.
My son has been in MAX security prison since June of 2005 for a crime he is completely innocent of. (We recently made a website (www.adamscass.com) that directs you to our Blog. Adam has become quite adept with the legal system and would probably be willing to look at your evidence to identify proof that could reduce the legal costs of a lawyer. His contact information is in the Blog.
Presently we are expecting the Wisconsin Court of Appeals to overturn his "conviction" that was an ALFORD PLEA as soon as they get the case assigned to the 3 Judge panel.
We had published the details of his case on the website, but due to the case pending in Appeal, we removed all but the link to the Appeals Court where you can read the briefs that were filed.
Adam can prove the officials knew he was innocent but proceeded with "convicting" him.
I feel your pain and frustration, and hope you can get relief. Let me know if you get this. also have Rodney or any of you write to Adam. I will tell him about you when he calls later today. We have signed up with SECURUS to have prepaid phone calls for 12 cents a minute instead of the high prices we paid at first.
While Adam rots in prison the actual perpetrator is free. Prison is especially hard for people serving time for sex crimes against a child, which is beyond the last thing Adam would do. His daughter is almost the same age as the victim he was accused of assaulting. Most people can't believe a person is innocent. "If they were CHARGED with a crime they must be guilty of something" is the response. Again, feel free to make contact. Maybe in the next month or so, Adam's case will be heard and he will finally be a FREE MAN.

May sound stupid, but have you guys looked into a private investigator to maybe dig something up that could help?
